Select 81-Ni2 is a low alloy steel, gasshielded, flux cored wire intended for the welding of carbon and low alloy steels requiring a minimum tensile strength of 80,000 psi and good CVN toughness at subzero temperatures.

Applications
Due to its good charpy v-notch toughness and tensile strength, Select 81-Ni2 is an excellent choice for welding steels such as ASTM A203, A572, A575 and A734 as well as steels containing 2% nickel.
Typical applications for this electrode include offshore platform construction, earthmoving and mining machinery and shipbuilding.
