UTP® 6820 stainless steel stick electrode measuring 1/8" X 14" easily forms a chromium-oxide layer and acts as a constant buffer against further corrosion of the underlying metal. Stainless steel electrode is an iron-base alloy with a minimum of 11% chromium content that is uniformly dispersed throughout the metal. It offers a stable arc and allows lightweight slag removal. Stick electrode features finely ripped bead surface without any undercuts and operates up to 750 deg C. Electrode is associated with E308H-16 AWS classification.
Features
The outstanding characteristic of stainless steels is their ability to readily form a chromium-oxide layer, which acts as a constant buffer against further corrosion of the underlying metal
Rutile basic coated stick electrode for highly creep resistant austenitic CrNi steels, for operating temperatures up to 70 deg C
Bohler FOX E 308 H was specially formulated for the 304 H base material
Resistant to hot cracking and little tendency to embrittlement through controlled ferrite content (3-8FN) scale resistant
Very good welding in all positions except for vertical down
Specifications
AWS A5.4
Applications
Joining and surfacing of heat resistant CrNi steels/cast steels
