Esab® AtomArc® E11018-M H4R T Low Alloy Steel Electrode with 3/32" Dia is designed for welding T-1 and a similar high strength steels. It is suitable for many other applications, especially where high-strength welds with excellent low temperature impact properties are required. The flux coatings are designed to effectively resist moisture pick-up in opened containers. The mechanical properties of the welded joints equal or exceed the properties of the base steel in either the welded or stress relieved condition, thus giving 100% design joint efficiency. The improved coating offers an extra degree of reliability, especially for electrode exposed to high humidity environments. Moisture testing results are conducted in accordance with AWS A5.1 and A5.5 specifications. AWS structural code provides a maximum of 0.4% moisture by weight for all E70XX electrodes. Although moisture-resistant coatings prolong the exposure time, storage and reconditioning should not be excluded. Low hydrogen electrodes are available in a variety of strength levels and chemical analysis for welding almost every type of mild and low alloy steel. The introduction of these iron powder electrodes, fabricators can increase their productivity while reducing their overall welding cost. Electrode comes in a 50 lb hermetically sealed container.
