STOODY® Trackwear® CTD 3/16" Dia x 14" Hard Facing Stick Electrode comes in a 60 lb bulk pack and is particularly formulated for the build-up of parts subject to heavy battering loads, such as rail-road frogs and crossings. Electrode is ideal for railroad frogs, railroad crossings, track castings, steel mill rolls, wobblers' spindles, coupling boxes and crusher equipment parts. Shielded metal arc welding electrode works well when applied to standard manganese steel alloy castings, nickel manganese steel alloy castings and molybdenum manganese steel castings. Deposits have high initial yield strength, hardness and work harden quickly with minimal flow and rollover. Electrode works on AC or DC, either polarity and preferably straight. It is compatible with any other standard manganese steel welding material that may have been applied previously.
