Harris® Safety-Silv® 30 high silver brazing alloy filler metal 1/8" round 50 troy oz. coil packed in a box is primarily designed for brazing copper, brass, and steel. This alloy has a wider melting range that allows it to be used where part clearance cannot be tightly controlled. Safety-Silv® 30 is often selected as a lower cost, cadmium free, replacement for higher silver content alloys. Safety-Silv 30 should be heated at a rapid rate through its melting range to avoid liquation. Conforms to the EU Reach and RoHS directive.
Features
Economical, cadmium-free, replacement for higher silver content alloys
Moderate ductility and slightly higher melting temperature than alloys containing higher percentages of silver and/or tin
Wide melting range
Good flow properties and excellent fillet forming qualities
Fills connections where tight clearance cannot be maintained
Designed to braze copper, brass and steel
Conforms to the EU Reach and RoHS directive
Specifications
ANSI/AWS A5.8 Class BAg-20
