Item Details
Justrite™ SoundGard™ Red 6 gal Oily Waste Can with foot operated cover is made of galvanized steel that can be used to temporarily store solvents, waste rags or other combustible materials. Waste can measuring 11 7/8" O.D X 15 7/8" has a foot-operated lid with a sound-muffling pad and can be used to temporarily store solvents, waste rags or other combustible materials. Foot pedal can be pressed down to lift the lid up to 60 deg for hands-free waste disposal and released to close the lid. The elevated bottom provides air circulation and helps to prevent the transfer of heat in case of fire. A pad inside the lid muffles the closing sound, making the container suitable for places where a quiet environment is desired. It is resistant to rust, dents and certain chemicals and powder-coated finish resists scratches, chipping, fading and other wear. Safety meets occupational safety and Health Administration OSHA 1910.106 standard and is certified by TUV SUD, FM Global and Underwriters Laboratories.
Features
Rags and cloths soaked with solvents, thinners, linseed oil, combustible adhesives and other flammable liquids present a serious fire risk when improperly discarded
Lid opens to no more than 60 degrees and stays closed when not in use, isolating contents from fire sources and limiting oxygen to virtually eliminate the risk of spontaneous combustion
