Justrite™ Non-Metallic Vertical Drum Vent with a plated steel flame arrester offers automatic pressure relief and is ideal for petroleum-based applications. Vent with a 2" NPS/NPT releases the vacuum automatically and allows 4 or more gpm flow through a 3/4" faucet. The operating valve can be opened at 5 psig internal pressure under normal conditions.

Safety drum vents provide automatic pressure relief for drums between 3psi (20kPa) but less than 8 psi (55kPa)
Depending on the model, vacuum relief is either automatic (on horizontally installed vents) or manual (on vertically installed vents)
They are tested to allow one liter (61 cubic inch) of water through a 3/8 inch (9.5mm) pipe nipple in less than 6 seconds
While in the closed position, the vents prevent escape of flammable vapor
All safety drum vents include a flame arrester for added safety
