Harris® ER 309L 0.030" dia. stainless steel MIG (GMAW) welding wire comes in a 10 lb. spool and has similar usage as 309, but the 0.03% maximum carbon content increases resistance to intergranular corrosion. Used for welding similar alloys in wrought or cast form. Occasionally used for welding 18-8 base metals when severe corrosion conditions exist, and, at times, welding dissimilar steels. Packaged for portable welding machines. Conforms to AWS A5.9 ER 309L.
